Overview

This site contains a lot of technical information and pictures about my current project car: a 1987 CRX Si. My goal with this car is to make about 250-275whp with the engine and do some suspension work to maximize the go-kart feel of the 1st Gen CRX. The Si model is nicely equipped and tips the scales at just under 2000 lbs. With some moderate weight reduction and engine and suspension improvements, a well rounded beast is quite possible.

I do not have an exact plan for the suspension yet, but the powerplant will be something different. Although it is entirely possible to drop the potent B series VTEC engines into this chassis, doing so is a very expensive proposition (more on that later). With the ever-tightening smog regulations in California, I've decided to be conservative and rule out any JDM engines.
